Lottery

When you'd dropped by the local Mad Scientist to trade in a stack of miscellaneous items for pretty yet pricey dyes (the other Mad Scientist, the one in the Murky Forest, practically shoved his potions into your hands instead of asking for items), the last thing you had expected was a little side quest taking you over to the brush shop. You already had plans to head that way, and when you happened to let your plans slip while chatting with Nicola, she seemed eager to ask someone to help her run errands.

Now that your business with her is concluded, you head into the Brush Shop and are greeted by the familiar blue Aerial in his usual white lab coat. There is an immediate hint of recognition in his eyes; he may not recall your name, but he never seems to forget a face.

"Hey, you! What can I do for you?"

"Hi, Goddard," you greet politely, stepping up to the counter. As you move closer, you notice something… off. Goddard lifted a paw and- no. THAT was no paw. You stare in horror at the gray phalanges that wrap themselves around the handle of Goddard's latest novelty coffee mug, announcing him as Lunaria's Okayest Assistant.

You shift uncomfortably in place as Goddard watches you expectantly. He doesn't bother to rush you; it seems like a slow day in the Brush Shop, and he's rather preoccupied with his coffee. He doesn't seem to care one bit about the humanoid hands that have replaced his front paws. As he sips his beverage, you force yourself to pass that message along.

"Nicola said that she and Fred are coming by today."

Coffee sprays from Goddard's mouth, thankfully missing you completely as he jumps up in a panic. "Oh Apollo no, not today!"

"Yes, today!"

"They can't see me like this!"

"Like… what?" you squeak, knowing perfectly well what he is referring to, but not wanting to be the one to acknowledge it.

"Like… like THIS!"...

On an unrelated note, you've also heard a rumour that Vyra is maybe up to something? Probably nothing to be too worried about but it might be worth checking out... probably sooner rather than later... be sure to keep your eye on the Forums for Vyra making noise!
