New Site Features!
🔥 Coder ⚡ July 16, 2025 11:30 am
Today we're releasing four new Quality of Life features:
  • Inventory bulk actions makeover (with a new action!)
  • Designs Summary makeover, now with actions
  • Two new preference settings
  • New NextGen action: Save Current Palette

Inventory Bulk Actions Makeover

The Inventory bulk actions were each added separately and they all looked a little different from each other. Some let you remove items, others did not. The primary goal for this update was to make each of the confirmation pages look and act similar, with items that could be removed individually. The first change is that bulk quantities are now set using the mobile friendly ItemCounter component:
  • Click the [+] and [-] buttons to bump the quantity up and down by 1
  • Long press [+] to quickly get to a bigger quantity
  • Use the keyboard to enter a quantity directly
  • Click on "max" to instantly set the maximum quantity

Next, the confirmation pages now show actual previews rather than summaries. When bulk adding to an auction, for instance, choosing an auction from the dropdown now shows you the actual auction. Bulk adding to a transfer now shows you the actual transfer.

There's also a new Bulk Trade action that makes it easier to add multiple items to a trade from Inventory. And of course its confirmation page shows you the actual trade chosen from the dropdown.

Designs Summary Makeover

The Designs Summary is more interactive now: clicking on a design shows you a list of actions:

The new Design Detail page shows the design and provides a nice new feature: clicking on any color hex will copy it to your clipboard so you can use that hex elsewhere.

New Preference Settings

To give you more control over your experience we're adding two experimental Quality of Life preferences:

Prefer Mobile
People on mobile can choose Prefer Mobile, which will default to the mobile version of some pages (NextGen Demo, Sudoku). People on desktop can choose that option which will default to the desktop version of pages. Choosing the Neither option is generally the same as the Desktop option but some action dropdowns will also give you the option of the mobile version.

Prefer NextGen
As much as we would love to make the NextGen Demo the default we realize that some people still like using the Custom Demo. So we now give you the option to choose the one you prefer. Choosing the Neither option is generally the same as the NextGen option. Note that previews  use the NextGen Demo regardless of this setting.

Also note that if you choose Prefer Mobile, it will automatically choose Prefer NextGen Mobile.

Keep in mind that these preferences are experimental. We are still figuring out some of the details. If you want things to work as they did before, choose the Neither option for both.

Save Current Palette (NextGen Demo)

The NextGen Demo has always offered a way to choose colors from the design you're working on, but now you can save the current palette so you can use it elsewhere.

Choosing that action brings up the new Save Current Palette panel, showing the first 20 colors in the palette.

Name your palette, click Save, and it's then available in the Palette Maker and anywhere the latest color picker is used (NextGen Demo, Apply Dye/DNA, etc).

That's it for today! We hope you enjoy these updates and as always if you run into any issues please file a Modbox Report with details so we can look into it.
