Howdy, howdy to all our amazing Wajas users!

Forgive me for being a bit scarce the last few days, been rushing IRL to finish stuff for Christmas, but with that winding down I finally have some time to breathe and work on getting Wajas stuff organized.

I wanted to post a few reminders while I have a moment, just so no one forgets:

• RE: Social Media Games
  • Entries will no longer be accepted for the unscramble or I spy contests.  Those ended on the 24th.
  • Entries can still be submitted for the crossword puzzle through EOD (end of day) tonight.
  • Make sure you are sending them to me on site @ 4591 in my PMs.  Do not post them on the SM platform or on the forums.
    • Also remember to list in your PM what doodlecorn you want for your prize.  Click Here to see what doodles are available (ctrl+f Nonseasonal Doodles, ctrl+f Winter Doodles).
      
      • If you forgot to pick, you can just rePM me with your choice.
• RE: Onsite FoF Contests
  • The deadline for this is December 31st EOD.
  • Click Here to go to the area where they all are.
  • Make sure your images work!  Ask a friend to give a peek.  If staff cannot see the images, we cannot say for certain you actually did the prompt, and so no prizes (including participation prizes) will be given.
    • Sometimes it will work for you on your screen but won't work for anyone else.  Ask a friend to look.
  • Make sure you include your ID on a piece of paper for any IRL contests.  Failure to do this will result in a disqualification of your entry and no prizes will be awarded.
• Re: Onsite Minigames:
  • Gabby has long ended, I'll post the answer key ASAP for that.
  • Grinchy Hearts is ongoing and will end December 29th EOD.
    • Remember to be tracking what numbers you have guessed.
    • You can edit the numbers if you accidentally guess the same number twice, I'm not checking to see if posts have been edited, and I'm not tracking winners until the game is over.

Some small notes:

I know we've had a lot of new and returning users this year (welcome, we're so happy to have you!), so I wanted to offer a small idea of how judging things goes.

For the big contests (the onsite FoF ones and any other big onsite contest):

• When the contests end, we lock the thread so no other entries can be taken.
• Sometime after that (usually that same week, but if IRL things are wild it can take up to a full week), I ping the staff and set up rooms for them to judge in.
  • Staff gets at least two weeks to judge. 
  • This is to allow them time to make it through every contest (I may give three weeks this year, as we had more contests than normal).
• Once judging is done, I (Sadi), give myself a week to two weeks to tally (depending on how many contests there are needing tallying).
• After everything is tallied, I announce winners via a News Post using the "Winner Announcement" tag and also ping those needing to claim prizes in the Prize Claim Thread.
• Prizes will be sent ASAP after that (including participation prizes, CWP prizes, and the of choice prizes), but it may be over the course of the next few days.  I post in that same news post once the prizes for each area are out, so just check back there to see if I'm done.

For the SM Platform Games:

• I wait for all contests entry times to be done (so I won't judge any from the last few days until after today, since today is the last day to enter the Crossword game).
  • This is to keep me from getting confused if people submit things while I am working through my PMs.
• Then I go through and judge them bit by bit.  This can take a week or two.
  • Keep in mind, there are a lot of entries, as it stands, I am at 24 pages of messages I need to go through for the SM games and the Gabby game.
• Once I am done, I send out prizes and post the answers + a notification prizes are out in a news post using the "Social Media" tag.
  • Keep an eye out for that tag and if you didn't get any, check to make sure your entry was 100% correct and that you listed what prize you want.  If you didn't list a prize, I didn't know what to send you.  As noted above, I recommend making sure you gave information on what prize you wanted for these contests and if you didn't resend a PM.
    • In order to keep things moving fluidly, I will not be trying to track down what prize you want.  It was noted on the images and in the game information that you needed to include what prize you wanted in the message.

For the Minigames:

• Once the minigame is over we will lock it and I will begin judging it.  In the case of the Grinchy Hearts, this means going through each page/post individually and marking who got a correct number and marking it in a sheet.
• After I've gotten all of the posts judged, I will send out prizes and note on the last post and in the thread title that I have finished judging, along with what the winning numbers were.  So keep an eye out there for that.
• Please bear in mind: There's over double the entries we had last year, so give me a week or two to make it through this thread, I have to go through over 1k posts and I try to double check to make sure I do not miss anyone.
