Lottery

 

As you make your way through the town, you notice a familiar pair of Spitz pups looking around frantically.  "What's going on?"  You ask as you come to a stop before the duo.  Both look up at you, panic on their faces and your heart pangs.

"Papa sent us to get groceries from the store, and we had a whole list of things we had to get!  Well, we got them...but then...you see..."  Remus sniffles as he stammers to speak.

Romulus speaks up.  "It wasn't my fault!  I swear!"

You glance back and forth between the two pups.  "What wasn't your fault, exactly?"  They've not explained - though, you notice a complete lack of groceries in their vicinity, so you have an idea where this is going.

"W-we noticed a really cool brick, and we wanted to get it to give to our bestfriend, Georgie..."  Romulus whispers.

"Those pesky raccoons ran off with our groceries!"  Remus wails out, clearly on the verge of a full meltdown.

You nod, finally understanding the whole situation.  "What if I help you look for them?"  You offer, because your heart really is too soft for these tearful two.

"Would you be willing to?!"  Romulus.  Remus is staring at you with a pleading look.

"Of course.  I offered, right?  Now let's get looking.  Three is better than two!"  And you set off to find those pesky raccoons and the twins' groceries!
