Disclaimer: This is not a staff position.  You will not gain any new ranking / powers.  It is also volunteer based.

Looking for: Library Update Helpers!

As I noted during our last staff hunt, once our new staff were settled in and I felt confident leaving games and events mostly in their capable hands, I was going to be turning my attention back to the library, and so...here we are!  It's library time!  Lets do it!

But wait!  I'm not all knowing, and that's where you all come in!

We're looking for 10-12 experienced users to jump in and help with these updates.  Applications will not be accepted after 3/3 @ 11:59 PM.  Those that are brought on will be expected to:
  • Look over pages finished by myself or another staff member and providing feedback in the form of:
    • Spelling/grammar errors.
    • Incorrect or outdated information.
    • Additional information or tips that might benefit being added.

Here is what we're asking far in regards to the users who may apply to assist with this task:

  • You - the user - have been on Wajas for at least a year.
  • You've got a good grasp on Wajas and its gameplay, and tend to stay up to date with new updates.
  • You are capable of committing time and effort to looking over the library pages in full (meaning potentially reading big walls of text, because while we will try to break things down, we have a lot of information and no matter how much we break down, if we want to provide accurate information, there is a chance of it becoming a bit of a wall).
  • If any information about potential updates coming soon to the site (staff will try not to do this, but if it does happen) is accidentally released, you are capable of keeping it to yourself and not letting it spread beyond the group involved in this.
  • You are capable of of being mature regardless of who else is brought on to help.  You do not need to like everyone, just pretend that this is work and you've got to smile through it.  It's not going to be a place for drama.  We will not tolerate it nor any form of bullying.
  • You are capable of offering feedback in a constructive manner and potentially not having that feedback taken 100% - or in some cases at all.
  • You are 18+.

Disclaimer: Because we are looking for as much feedback as possible, if you are not actively responding / helping with this, we may remove you from the group.  We have a set minimum we'd like involved in this, and if you are not assisting, we would like to give someone who will a chance to step up.  This will be done without warning.

  • You do not need to respond to every single update, but if you've not responded to anything in like a month, that is where we may remove you and pull in someone else.

Side Note: This would be something good to try and get in on if applying for Wajas staff is one day something you wish to do, since you'll be able to add it to your application.

Final Note: Just because you apply, does not mean you will be brought on.  We will be judging based on applications, so the ones that really stand out will be the ones brought on.  Showing effort on the application displays your willingness to put effort into the project as a whole, and that's what we are after, people who are excited and want to help with this.

As always, thank you all for your time!
/Wajas Staff
