New Feature: Newbie Quiz!

Good Morning everyone! First, we've sent a Gift of Activity out for those who have logged in since the 10th. Thank you Estu for our Spicy Potato! We come bearing exciting news this morning! After working tirelessly for the last couple months, we have finished an amazing new feature and are incredibly pumped for you all to learn about it! This feature is called: The Newbie Quiz! This quiz is geared towards are new and returning users. It is meant to assist them in getting started while simultaneously educating them about the site. Some things to note: The quiz is only available to New and Returning users. Returning users must have been on hiatus for at least 6 months in order to receive access to the quiz. That's 180 days. New and Returning users will be asked if they want to participate in the quiz shortly after they've confirmed their email and have logged in. Users will have access to the quiz for 3 months. If they wish to complete it and receive all of the prizes, they must do so before the end of that 3 month period. You can see how much time is left by visiting the Newbie Quiz page in Explore. If you get an answer right, you will receive a prize. If you get an answer wrong, you will receive a note of where you can find the correct answer (a general idea), and sometime down the road you will get a second chance to answer that question. While you have the quiz, you can turn on and off the questions by going to the Newbie Quiz Page under Explore. If you turn off the quiz, you will not get any questions/prizes. You can toggle this whenever and as much as you want. If you've correctly answered a question, it will show under the Newbie Quiz page under Explore, along with it's "correct text" information, which will include information about the question asked and the prize you received. You can reread this at any time. If you've answered correctly, you will receive a notification of a prize being delivered to you. There is no way to turn off this notification. All answers can be found on the site in some way - be sure to look at our Rules, TOS, and our Library pages. Some answers however, will be found on a specific page under "Howie's" help text (the little Waja that appears on the top right of some pages). Our hope with this, is it will help new users get settled in a lot easier. If users notice anything amiss with the quiz, please Modbox it as we're asking that users not share the answers. If someone needs help locating an answer, you may direct them to where they can find the correct answers, but you should try not to provide answers for them. The quiz will activate with a little popup after an user has explored the site a bit, asking if the user wants to partake in the Newbie Quiz. From there, as the user explores, they will get questions from time to time that provide prizes for correct answers. The Newbie Quiz under Explore page will allow you to track how far along in the quiz you are. Feel free to drop any questions you have in the comments of this News Post.
