Reminder: Contacting Staff Offsite

Afternoon guys,
 
Wajas staff would like to take a moment to send out a reminder that users should not be messaging staff on their personal Discord or Social Media accounts about matters pertaining to Wajas.
 
If there is an issue on site, you should be doing one of three things:
  • If it is a post on a thread, PM that you received, or something on a Waja, you should be reporting the issue using the report button and providing any relevant information as to why you are reporting it.
  • If it's a potential bug, you should be Modboxing it with all relevant information including but not limited to: Where and when it happened, providing screenshots, and information regarding what device you use and what browser you use.  
  • If your need does not fall into either of those categories (ex. you have a question regarding a rule or something), you should be PMing a staff member that is capable of helping you (see below for what each member of staff can assist with).
At all times, you should give staff time to respond.  Many of the staff members are volunteer so if you PM or Modbox something, don't turn around and send that same issue to another staff member 5 minutes later because they are taking too long to respond.  Sometimes we check in on our phones while busy with IRL and do not have the time to reply to you.  If 24 hours has passed since you sent your PM, you may PM again with a gentle reminder about the PM.

Here is a list of what each staff member can assist with:

Full Moderators (Silver or Silver and Green Feathered Staff):

  • Everything a Forum Mod can assist with.
  • Dye/DNA messups on Wajas (this should be posted here though, and not via PMs).
  • Account related issues (forgot Pin, retrieving old accounts, etc).
  • Mispriced Customs that were bought if the user who bought it is being unresponsive.

Forum Moderators (Bronze or Bronze and Green Feathered Staff):

  • Answers questions about the site, it's rules, and the TOS.
  • Moving threads (though reporting this and requesting staff to move it would be quicker in most cases).
  • Dealing with reports, issuing reminders/warnings, and removing posts that go against our rules/TOS.

Artists (Green Feathered Staff):

Coder, Admin, Marketing (Blue, Gold, or Red Feathered Staff):

  • Commando, Estu, and Mercury are all busy with their own things.  They should not be messaged for any of the issues above at all, and there are areas to contact them without actually messaging them.  Remember, they are incredibly busy running the site and making new content for the site.
    • Use the Modbox tool to report anything that Commando might need to know about, he will get back up with you if he needs more information.
    • If you have a suggestion or idea to better the site, use the Suggestions/Ideas Forum and if it's a great idea that might work for Wajas, maybe Estu will impliment it.
    • If you have something to report (good or bad) regarding staff, do so here and Estu will review it and see if any action needs to be taken by reviewing the situation.

Social Butterfly (Butterflied Staff):

  • Anything relating to events that she has ran (if someone else posted the event, please PM the person that posted it) either on site or on Social Media.
  • Social Media ideas.
  • Requests for walk-throughs.

PMing the correct staff member when you need help will mean your issue gets resolved quicker.  
Please ensure that the staff member you are messaging can assist you with what you need.

The only exception to the "do not message on discord for site issues" is if there is a troll on site posting inappropriate things and there's no staff currently online to resolve it.  We will not fault you for letting us know if something like this is happening.
