Chicks, Earths, and a mission not so impossible
Sadi April 22, 2022 11:45 am
First Note: Earths are in the token shop for today.

"Can't believe they wouldn't listen to me. What's so great about hoarding those cute, feathery, little chicks in one spot. Well you know what? Bok BOK. Is what I say to that. We should share them! BOK." Term grumbled as they shoved their quietest, most shock absorbent boots on. "I'll show them how good my idea is, one way or another!"

A click sounded as they stuffed a cassette tape into their gray walkman. A set of old school, flimsy, earphones were shoved onto their head. The cord winding it's way down to to walkman that seconds later disappeared in the pockets of their jet black hoodie. "Ah yeah, mood music. BOK!" They hit the play button, and a second later, the theme song for mission impossible blared, easily heard by anyone standing around them.

"Huh, Term...what are you doing?" The flowery form watched from behind as Term began posing. "Term." She glanced towards the owl perched on the window sill of the room. "I don't think Terms okay today. Maybe the rejection to release more Roos to the users was too much?" The owl gave a hoot, and then took flight, coming over to pose on the shoulder of Term.

"You look MUCH cooler with an owl on your shoulder." He threw one of his wings wide. "Jazz wings!"

Term jumped, spinning around to come face to face with two of their ENEMIES! "What are you two doing here?!" Eyes went wide as they quickly turned down their music.

"Well I did call out and knock, but you seem to be quite busy jamming?" She glanced to the owl to ensure that was the right word.

"I believe now a days the cool kids call it a hootenanny." The owl stated wisely.

She nodded, and glanced back to Term. "It appears you were having a hootenanny." The wooded arm rose and ran through her hair. "I came to tell you game day has started. Will you be joining us? Or will you resume your hootenanny?"

Term stared at the woman, brows furrowed. "Cool kids have NEVER used hootenanny to describe listening to music and dancing." Term glanced towards the owl. "You just picked that word because it had hoot in it didn't you?" The owl fluffed, but did not deny it. "Whatevs, BOK. I will be down later." The music was turned back up and Term turned away from the pair.

--------------------------

The scent of coffee filled the hall leading to the kitchen. Term snuck, carefully, edging closer. Noise filled the air.

"Guys, I've been thinking. Maybe, for science, we should test out giving the users more Roos." Canuka held a mug of coffee. A large yawn escaped. "Been running the numbers since morning and my hypothesis is that nothing could go wrong." A sip was took. "Ah yeah, coffee, the thing that gives me life. What games are we playing today?"

"I don't know, but," Admiral put a tissue to their nose. "These allergies are killing me!"

"Maybe you should quit being so obsessed with the Roos and go on a hike with me, I don't get this craze. They're just birds!" Bluee eyed Admiral.

"No can do, they are just the best!" A sneeze sounded as Admiral sneezed into their tissue.

"What about hide and seek?" The owl called out from their perch on the tree woman.

"I like that!" Term exploded from the hall, eyes wide in excitement.

"Whats with that get up?" Admiral eyed the fully covered, from head to toe, Term. "Is it Halloween?"

"Term was having a hootenanny." The owl supplied.

"Term said it's not cool to say hootenanny." She whispered to the owl.

"Lets just go play hide and seek!" Term stated, clearly exhasperated.

"Fine, fine. Hide and seek it is." Canuka stated.

"Not me, I'm off hiking. You should really consider joining me Admiral, you're eyes are very bloodshot." Bluee offered Admiral a new tissue.

"Naw, I'm going to play hide and seek and then go visit those cute multicolored chickens!"

"Suit yourself." Bluee waved and exited stage right.

-------------------------

Everyone was hiding and it was Terms turn to seek, however, instead, mission impossible song playing in the background, Term sleuthed their way through the Wajas house sneaking to the holdings of all things Rooster.

Breaking and entering was easy when there was no guards and it really was just entering, but in Terms wild imagination, there were guards and a whole kung fu scene.

Soon, after a vicious battle and a long monologue from some imaginary villain, Term was standing before the tools that were used to monitor where and when the Roosters went.

"Hmm, it wasn't an easy victory, but easy victories never taste sweet. I shall emerge from this all the stronger for my difficult trials." Term moved forward, paws going wild on the computer, clearly having no idea what they were doing, but soon a beep sounded, alerting SUCCESS! Term turned their gaze to read what they accomplished. "Perfect, two Wajas per person, per account. That is great. Mission aBOKcomplished!" In Terms mind, there was cheering from all the people of Lunaria.

Term turned, ready to head out and move towards their adoring fans when a red button caught their attention. "Huh, what's that?" A thoughtful hum sounded, and with a shrug, Term reached out. "It's my philosopy to ALWAYS press suspicious red buttons." And so, without any further thought, Term pressed that red button and waited, one tick of the clock, two ticks of the clock, and NOTHING. "Huh, what a let down, oh well!"

Term skipped off, back to the game of Hide and Seek they were supposed to be playing, no one noticing anything was amiss until hours later, when Roosters began being returned that they knew had found forever homes. It was discovered, someone had hit the red button that allowed users to return any Rooster bought that had not previously been altered, bred, or changed in anyway. The return did not give them their money back, but it did allow them to exchange for another rooster. No one would fess to having pressed it, and no one noticed that the true culprit, Term, was off having a hootenanny in the mirror to their mission impossible cassette tape.

----------------------------

So, in an effort to improve our Breeding Shop feature, will now allow you to return any Rooster bought from there that hasn't had any alterations, this includes but is not limited to:
- Appearance changes
- Stat changes
- Hasn't had babies

For this event, it will be in effect since the start of the Rooster release, however, any future event will be limited to a three day time limit.

We understand that many of you already bred your roosters, and again, this is just an effort to make it better going forward, we cannot do anything about the past. So if you have a rooster you didn't like that you've already bred, our best advice is just to hang on to it for now and when things can be transferred/traded, see if you can find someone willing to trade.

Any part of this feature you come across that you notice might not be working as intended should be MODBOXED. That is Commando territory and neither Sadi nor Bluee can help you, and the modbox is the quickest way to bring issues to Commandos attention.

To access returning your rooster, you go to the Rooster Shop and it will display on that page. Please make sure if you trade it back you read all prompts and understand this cannot be reversed.

Returning Roos will NOT refund you what you paid, but it WILL give you back the credit to buy another Roo.

That's all from me today, have fun y'all!
