First off, thank you everyone who noticed this early and had patience until I got on to post. This was meant to roll out at 12 AM with the feature itself, BUUUUUT, I forgot to mark it to do so, so here we are. I apologize for my forgetfulness. ;-; ANYWAY, onto the feature.

Some of you may remember, once upon a time, in the grand ole year of 2009 we had a forum style Trick or Treat. Well, there was a lot of requests to bring that back...so we did. However, since Commando had to recode everything, we made some changes. For those that remember the event, please note, we are not removing the ToT door, and since you receive treats from there for yourself, the forum ToT will be GIVING gifts to those whose buttons you click on. We wanted to make it feel like you were really tricking or treating someone depending on your selection.

First things first, how to participate:
To participate, you must essentially opt in! You can't play if you haven't opted in! On the left hand side menu, you should see something like "TRICK OR TREAT", click that and follow the prompts on screen to opt in.







At this point, you must choose which Waja you wish to use to receive your tricks and treats on. Whichever Waja you choose, items will go on, and the art will be refreshed. Do NOT use a Waja you will be upset to have refreshed. We cannot fix any mistakes if you select the wrong Waja and they get refreshed.







Now that your Waja is set, head on over to the forums, find a thread that was started after this news post, and you'll be able to Trick or Treat as you post!



- The person you are trying to ToT must have opted into the Trick or Treating by selecting their Trick or Treater as shown above.
- Only threads created after October 1st will enable the Trick or Treating.
- You can only Trick or Treat a person once per day.
- Only posts with 20+ characters and 5+ words will activate the Trick or Treating. This is to prevent spam.
- You can only Trick or Treat those ahead of your post. Anyone who posts after is not eligible, you will have to make a new post to be able to Trick or Treat them.

When you ToT, you will NOT be receiving the Trick or Treat, it will be going to whomever you are Trick or Treating.
You can only Trick or Treat a player once per day. It resets at 12 AM.
You get to select which Waja the Tricks and Treats go on, they will only go on that one Waja.
You can change your Waja that is getting Tricked or Treated by going to the "TRICK OR TREAT" option in the menu on the left, and selecting "SETTINGS".
You can opt in and out at any point by following the above directions.



Using your side account is fine if you choose to go that route, but please note, all normal rules apply so you should not be making a post on your main account and then immediately posting on your side. There should be posts in-between your main and side.

Finally, you will see this reminder a lot over the next month. You should only have two accounts. Using more than two accounts at any point during this event is grounds for immediate freezing. Also, having friends and family join and send you items also counts as multi-accounting and is grounds for immediate freezing. Play fair folks!

Additionally, as with all Events hosted on Wajas, having someone login to your accounts to Trick or Treat for you is not allowed, and asking others to do it for you is not allowed.

One final note, for those who wish to set up and use this feature to do the "Lights on, Lights off" style of trick or treating, we've added a section to the roleplay boards HERE. No we are not trying to get rid of or replace the old style of Trick or Treating, but in the past we have had users say they wished they could partake in giving out Tricks and Treats but they did not have the funds to do so. This eliminates the need for funds, AND welcomes newer users to give Trick or Treating a shot. Essentially, it allows more involvement. This board is temporary and WILL go away at the end of this event, and all posts with it.
